Electricity spiders outwards from those five delicate points of contact, and that kiss might as well be a bolt of lightning for how hard it strikes him. Everything between them weighs more now, everything is more significant, and even the smallest caress is lethal because Omega can't answer them the way he really wants to.

But it's also been a long damn time since he could run, and now he's finally getting that chance.

Just like last night, when he'd gone racing after her across an open field, terrorizing a small herd of cows, a split second after she darts away Omega immediately gives chase. Lucky for her that she's not his prey, because with the sky urging him on and the wind in the grass beneath his feet, he'd run her down in an instant; but together they urge each other faster, and Omega laughs as the mountains rise higher and the trees loom at the edge of the landscape.
