Blue stroked his cheek, sliding her fingers back into his wet hair, and parted her lips for his, sighing softly into his mouth. There was no threat of him in this. He had never touched her thus, so perhaps she might find some solace in sweet kisses stolen beneath the moonlight and the pines.

His hand at her side made her shiver, a brief ripple of flesh, the rest of her envious of just that simple touch. Blue longed to drown herself in him again, but the waters before had been warm, crystal clear and so inviting; now they were dark, freezing cold and thick as tar. A small snarl of memory threatened in the back of her mind, but she gave a snarl of her own and shoved it back in its cage, the hand in her mate's hair tightening until her arm looped around his shoulders, wanting him closer.

The tree's bark was slightly rough against her back, but it did much to keep her focused on Omega; his lips so soft and gentle against hers, the muted, entirely human sounds that she so loved emanating from his chest, and the sweet slip of his tongue with hers, a sinuous plea for everything she might be willing to give.
