He lets her lead the way, mystified by this mood that's taken her. Which is miserable, really, because this is who his mate used to be before Isla Sorna. Omega never would have thought twice about her pulling him out under the night sky to run god knows where. This time he is alert and attentive from the first step, paying much closer attention to her than to the unfamiliar world around them.

But it's... exhilarating. He follows her over the fence, and the second her raptor blood sends the herd thundering in their swift escape, the feral wind catches him and carries him off in a mad, wonderful whirl. Every predatory instinct demands that he bring one of these animals down for its foolishness, trying to run from him when it has no chance of getting away -- but Blue doesn't attack them, and so he doesn't either, but races her through the stampede with a savage hiss to spur them on.

He catches her eye, and excitement flares in his chest; in an instant, he follows, her own shadow chasing her into the black forest. He is in awe of her now, of her sudden high spirits when only hours ago she was dissolving in his arms, of the strength she has even though he's never forgotten it. And he won't stop until he catches her.
