Blue giggled again, scrunching her nose and shaking her head. "I'll pass, thanks." Then his attention zeroed back in on the screen and she followed suit. "--buffalo? Yeah, I think so. In some of the parks, they do." Blue scrolled down a little, reading quickly to say, "They're still endangered though, and summer is their mating season. I think the humans have to pay to kill one or something."
She wanted so much to reach for him, to let herself drown in his vibrant affection, but Blue instead settled for cuddling a little closer, holding the phone in both hands so he could see, and gently rubbed her head against his shoulder, a soft involuntary purr resonating in the back of her throat.
