Blue bit her lip. "...I know," was all she could really say, because so did she. She longed to be whole again, not this...splintered thing, so fragmented and just waiting to shatter into a thousand pieces. Swallowing another hiccuped sob, she gave him another soft, girlish kiss, breathing him and letting his familiar scent ground her back here, where she belonged.
"...I...think I'm okay," she murmured in their quiet little cocoon. "We should...probably head back, so we can get on the road." Blue eased to her feet and tugged Omega up with her, indulging herself with another brief burrow into his arms, nose pressed to the hollow of his throat, inhaling him deeply.
She knew that Owen would, of course, wait as long as she needed, but Blue absolutely didn't want to be a burden--their family had plenty as it was.
