"None of us have ever met his dad," Blue heard herself saying, still fiddling almost nervously with the covers. "Owen kinda makes him sound like a ogre or something." Which wasn't all that appealing, really, but the description of the place did much to balance that out.
"I dunno how long he could put up with all of us, though." Because seven raptors all in one unfamiliar place...that was a lot to ask anyone to tolerate for very long. She snorted in soft amusement. "...unless we all sleep in the barn or something."
