Blue gave him a shrug as he headed out, watching her toes still wiggling. The door didn't quite shut behind Owen when he left, and Blue made no move to push it shut again. She did, however, ease out of her window seat and sweep up the mess of beads in the floor, resolving to maybe try again. Later. When her brain wasn't scattered all to oblivion.
She could hear Omega's minute rustling just outside the door; Blue considered calling to him, but couldn't quite get anything out. But she knew he wouldn't go far. Since they'd returned to the mountain, Blue didn't believe he'd ever once been out of earshot. A comforting thing, really, even if sometimes she had to have him out of her sight.
But her mind was currently tranquil, the sun left long bars of golden light streaming across the wooden floor, illuminating the small motes floating gracefully through the room. Blue returned to her window seat, leaning back against her cushion to bask in the warmth of the afternoon, feeling, for once, finally at ease.
