It might be the most dangerous shower he's ever taken in his life, simply because the hot water and steam nearly puts him to sleep standing up and wouldn't it be just his luck to fall and crack his head open. But he makes it out with all his bones intact, and probably smells a lot better than he did ten minutes ago.

There's a bathrobe waiting for him, which is very thoughtful of Gwen. But Owen can't help thinking again about how surreal this whole situation is. He has two raptor hybrids -- one of whom is his Beta -- lying unconscious and semi-conscious respectively in a room next door, on the second floor of his girlfriend's mother's house, putting on a bathrobe that doesn't belong to him, while said girlfriend awaits him in her childhood bedroom. Did he ever actually wake up from the couch in her office? He has to assume so, because he wouldn't be so goddamn tired in a dream.

At least the bathrobe smothers down any steam that was still rising from his skin when he emerges, finding Gwen sitting on the edge of the bed, either unwilling or unable to relax. He takes a seat next to her, leaning forward to look her in the eyes. "You want to wash up?"
