"That wouldn't surprise me," Owen says, coming over to stand beside her. "Blue is always ahead of the game, even when it comes to healing herself. Remember when she broke her arm? She was out of that cast in, what, a month?" And with nothing now to show for it, even -- although that was probably as much a testament to her doctor as it was to herself.
But at the mention of Omega, Owen sighs heavily, something he's done less and less in recent months. He sinks slowly into the chair next to Gwen. "I know," he admits, brow furrowing. "But I think he'll understand the importance of giving Blue some privacy. And I think he knows what happened to her already." Owen isn't sure how he knows that; just a hunch, really, but Omega's demeanor when they found the two of them very strongly implied as much.
"I don't think you should tell him anything specific. But if you're straightforward as Blue's doctor, he might listen." He shakes his head. "Blue has worked magic on that boy, I swear she could publish a goddamn dissertation."
