In the back of her mind, Gwen had been afraid of that answer. But she knew, even as Owen had been saying it, that it was the right one. Blue wasn't an animal. She was a young woman caught in a horrific set of circumstances, and she deserved to know what was happening to her and make her own choice about how to handle it.

Gwen just nodded, feeling just a fraction of Owen's pain herself and it cut her heart like a dull knife. She glanced down the hall as footsteps approached, seeing Mitch hurrying towards them with a box that rattled in his hands.

"I got 'em, Gwen," he panted, sweat standing on his pale forehead. "Had to diddle the files a little, but I think we'll be covered for a day or three."

Gwen exhaled a short sigh of relief. "Great, Mitch. Thanks so much. Listen, the male hybrid's in there with her, probably still asleep. He's not going to want to leave her, so just work around him as best as you can. Get the metro into her IV now, and dose it at about 45 cc's per mil. We've got to clean her system out so it can replenish itself."

She paused, looking from him to Owen and then back again. "Give me a minute or two and I'll be right there, promise." Mitch headed off, and Gwen turned back to Owen. "If Mitch and I can get her stable, I'll make some calls tonight and try to arrange a transport for all of us. Because we're not going to be able to stay here, not with the InGen facility burning to the ground over on Isla Sorna. I might, just might, be able to get us back to Los Angeles and the medical lab at UCLA. They have equipment that's almost as advanced as the stuff here."
